The service launched this time is an upgraded version of "Pet in Cabin". Passengers can place orders for the "Pet in Cabin" product through official channels such as the China Southern Airlines app or mini program 6 hours before the flight takes off. Depending on their actual needs and the seating situation of the flight, they can choose to place their pets under the front row of seats or on adjacent seats to the passenger, achieving full companionship with the "furry child" throughout the flight. In terms of price, the cost of placing pets under seats is 1299 yuan per flight segment per pet. In addition, based on the remaining seats on the flight segment, passengers can upgrade their pets by placing them on their seats, at a cost of 1299 yuan for the basic service fee plus an additional 400 yuan for one seat, or 600 yuan for two additional seats.

It is worth noting that currently, China Southern Airlines' "Pet in Cabin" service is only available in economy class on domestic direct flights between Guangzhou and Shanghai Hongqiao, except for passenger aircraft models such as COMAC ARJ. Passengers must be at least 18 years old and have the capacity for civil conduct and companionship. Each passenger can bring a maximum of 1 pet into the cabin, and each flight can bring a maximum of 2 pets. Pets are limited to small dogs and cats domesticated by the family.
Passengers bringing their beloved pets into the cabin are required to prepare the "Animal Quarantine Certificate" and small animal vaccination certificate issued by the animal health supervision before departure. They should also prepare a compliant pet box and necessary pet supplies in advance, clean their pets' bodies in advance, and wear mouth covers throughout the transportation process.
